Upcoming sailing activities

Dear CNCE sailors,
 
At our General Assembley end February, a new CNCE Board was voted as every three years and so, we are happy to dive with you into the new sailing season! In this spirit, we wish to share with you some of our planned activities.
 
On 10 May, a special Kids sailing day will take place.
 
And the dates are settled for our iconic Beginners Course: please reseve 12 - 14 June for this fantastic sailing opportunity in your agendas.
 
We also look forward to racing with our Blue One, and dates will be published soon.
 
Valk sailing is scheduled in July and August, and the famous Golden Gaff Valk sailing weekend will take place from 18 -20 September on the Veerse Meer.
 
Registrations for these events will be opened in due time, so do not forget to check on Twizzit! Other activities are already up for registration, please see below.

Blue One sailing weekends in the Oosterschelde
starting in March
We are happy to announce that our weekend sailing trips with our BlueOne (a Beneteau First 36.7 yacht) harboured in Colijnsplaat, NL, are back as early as from mid March onwards. Find out more information in the calendar.
 

Based on previous experience, places tend to fill up quickly, don’t miss out!

Nav'apéro on 25 March

Let's get together for a chat about sailing adventures, new sailing projects and other CNCE club matters for 2026. Meet like-minded sailors and exchange ideas about future sailing plans!

Join us on Wednesday, 25 March from 7pm onwards at the Funky Monkey, Rue Archimède 65, 1000 Bruxelles (cash or credit card payments only!). No reservation required.

Harbour Manoeuvres Courses in Nieuwpoort
1. Harbour manoeuvres, Spinnaker and Motorboat handling
 

We are happy to announce that 2026 trainings offered in cooperation with the sailing school Vlaamse Vaarschool-Nieuwpoort are now open for registration. 

For course descriptions and details see:
  • General and Mediterranean harbour manoeuvres
  • Handling symmetrical and asymmetrical spinnaker
  • Motorboat handling courses

2. Motorboat practice on 8 March - 2 places available 
 

This practical course is suitable for anyone who would like to learn handling a motorboat. During the day, you will lean to steer, moor, keep course, take into account wind drift and current, useful knots, propeller and rudder effects. 

With prior agreement, this course can serve as practical test for obtaining Belgian pleasure boating licence (extra cost for examination apply). or details see Course description. For reservations consult the Twizzit calendar ("Planning"). 
 

Dinghy sailing
The dinghy sailing season will start early April and you may join Dimitri's sailing presentations on the Easter weekend or 17-19 April. In case of interest, please contact the secretariat at [email protected] for further information.

Blue One finally back into water 
Our BlueOne is back in the water! During the winter time her engine was maintained (waterpump and engine instrument panel were replaced) and club members maintained the winches and replaced some running rigging. Now she is ready again for Zeeland cruises!

Sailing course on yachts at Centro Velico Caprera (Sardinia) in September
 
New opportunity to take part into a sailing course on yachts in the beautiful setting of North Sardinia! Join the English-language Cabin Cruiser courses (C1 & C2) at Centro Velico Caprera from 19–26 September in the spectacular La Maddalena archipelago.
 
C1 is perfect for beginners starting their sailing journey, while C2 helps experienced participants consolidate their sailing skills such as manoeuvres, yacht handling, and onboard teamwork through an immersive residential week at sea.
 
You will be sailing every day with a teacher on board, while sleeping on land in the beautiful natural reserve of Caprera island. Located in North Sardinia, the school has wind conditions among the best in the Mediterranean. Course fee is €1,050 with a 10% group discount for 5+ participants enrolled in the same level. RYA Courses with C-Masters
Courses with C-Masters - SRC VHF, First Aid, Diesel engine, Meteorology and others 
 
In 2026, for C-Masters courses our club members cab benefit from a discount (7,5% for a practical course and 10% for a classroom theory course). Check out C-Masters catalogue for the training offer Courses that could be interesting for aspiring skipper include RC VHF, First Aid, Diesel engine, Meteorology.
To obtain the discount, please indicate your affiliation with the CNCE in the course booking form or inform the school via e-mail.

Sailing club of the EU institutions in Brussels, accredited by the "Groupement des Cercles de Loisirs" of the European Commission. CNCE activities are open only to members of the club. For all activities requiring a financial commitment, registration is done on the basis of “first paid, first served”. After registration, reimbursement will only be possible if an adequate replacement is found.
