Every winter, we gather — a vibrant mix of familiar faces and new ones — coming together from BGS’ LGBTQIA+ community and our closest circles. What began as a small group has grown into something truly special: a weeklong escape from Brussels’ winter blues, filled with skiing joy, movement, and deep connection in the heart of the snowy mountains.
Next year marks our 12th edition, and we’re heading somewhere new for the very first time: Serre Chevalier in the first week of February. Nestled in the Southern French Alps, this gem of a ski destination offers 250km of slopes, a sunny-yet-snowy climate, and the dramatic beauty of the Écrins National Park. It truly has it all — from smooth beginner runs to wild off-piste adventures, plus nordic skiing, hiking trails, and plenty of space to pause and just be.
We’ll be staying at Club Les Alpes d’Azur, a cozy and welcoming hotel near the picturesque village of La Salle-les-Alpes, right in the heart of the Serre Chevalier valley. With space for up to 98 participants, we’ve secured excellent group rates for what has become one of our most anticipated trips of the year.
As in previous years, we expect to sell out quickly, so don’t wait too long. You can look forward to delicious local food, a wellness area to unwind, and evenings full of laughter, connection, and warmth.
Whether you're here to carve your first turns or simply soak up the mountain vibes, this trip is made for us — for queer joy, chosen family, community, and play.

Please carefully read all the info on the next page before registering. You'll be able to select your options and confirm your booking on the next page.

When is the trip?
From Saturday, January 31, 2026 to Saturday, February 7, 2026. Return may be on Sunday, February 8, for participants who choose the transportation option—final details will follow once travel plans are confirmed.
Where are we going?
We’re heading to Serre Chevalier, located in the beautiful Southern Alps of France.
How do we get there?
We offer a transportation package from Brussels by train:
- Outbound (Saturday 31/01): Brussels to Valence (TGV), Valence to Briançon (TER), and Briançon to Serre Chevalier (shuttle)
- Return (Saturday 07/02 or Sunday 08/02): Serre Chevalier to Briançon (shuttle, with time in town), night train to Paris, and Eurostar to Brussels
Estimated price: around 300€ (to be confirmed once bookings open). Prefer to travel independently? You’re free to organize your own journey—we encourage carpooling.
I’ve never skied (or barely). Can I come?
Absolutely. All experience levels are welcome. Each year, many total beginners join us. If it’s your first time skiing, we highly recommend signing up for lessons—it will make your experience more enjoyable.
I don’t ski and don’t want to. Can I still join?
Yes. Non-skiers are welcome and can enjoy winter hiking, Nordic skiing, snow biking, and simply relaxing in a beautiful alpine environment. Snowboarders typically join ski groups that match their level. More info: Serre Chevalier Nordic Ski
What ski levels are available?
Participants range from absolute beginners to advanced off-piste skiers. You’ll easily find people to ski with based on your level and goals—especially during the welcome gathering on the first evening.
I’m not sure this trip is for me. Why should I consider it?
A ski week is much more than just skiing. Here’s what many people enjoy:
- Being outside in a beautiful mountain landscape
- Getting fresh air and winter sun
- Challenging your body in a fun and empowering way
- Meeting new people and relaxing in a warm, welcoming environment
Everyone returns home refreshed, recharged, and full of great memories.
Can we join as a couple?
Of course! However, you must register via this form separately, and we’ll make sure to place you in the same room when rooming assignments are made.
Who will I share a room with?
A few weeks before departure, we’ll organize a meet-and-greet where you can indicate your preferred roommate. If you don’t know anyone yet, this is a great opportunity to meet others. If you already know someone, just mention a name in the form (now or later).
We'll stay at the 3-star holiday club Aples d'Azur (Vacances Bleues), a former Club Med, recently renovated for extra comfort and charm. The venue offers:
- A wellness area with indoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and hammam
- A fitness room
- An on-site bar and restaurant
- Mountain views and cozy social areas
Check out info here: Vacances Bleues – Alpes d’Azur
How great is the ski resort?
Serre Chevalier is a stunning, tree-lined resort at the foot of the legendary Écrins mountains. It offers 250 km of ski slopes for all levels, most of which sit above 2000 meters with snow cannons for guaranteed snow. The area spans multiple valleys, giving you access to peaceful, scenic off-piste routes.
Advanced skiers can enjoy:
- A day trip to Via Lattea-Montgenèvre (included in your skipass)
- A chance to explore the iconic La Grave for more off-piste adventure
And if you miss the last lift? No stress—a shuttle service runs through the valley to get you back to the hotel.
Ski maps:
How far is the hotel from the slopes?
The hotel is less than 5 minutes from the slopes thanks to the regular private shuttles organised by the hotel.
You prefer to walk (or even run?) to warm up before the slopes? You can get to the nearest ski lift in 15-minute walk (or 1.1 km).
Whether you take the shuttle or walk, you will travel light as ski lockers are directly at the lift station. So you don’t have to carry your gear back and forth.
Are there activities at night?
Absolutely! The holiday club hosts evening activities every night—think quizzes, shows, blind tests, and parties (mostly in French).
We’ll also organize some après-ski moments and suggest a night out or two. Got cool ideas for extra activities? Share them with the coordinators—we love input!
What about the food?
The hotel offers generous buffet-style meals with plenty of variety. Here's what to expect:
Breakfast (included): 7:30 – 9:30 AM
